Super Simple Balsamic Glaze

Homemade Balsamic Glaze. Simple with just 2 ingredients

Sometimes, a recipe calls for ‘balsamic glaze’. To be honest, I have never seen it in a store around here so I decided to make my own. Now, I have to say that because I never had balsamic glaze from a bottle, I’m not sure how it should taste exactly but this glaze is really delicious and not as sweet and unhealthy as most recipes you will find on the web. The best thing is: you will only need 2 ingredients.

You will need:
250 ml balsamic vinegar
1 tbs palm sugar

Let’s get cooking:
First, mix the vinegar and sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Next, and this is important, open a door or a window in the kitchen. Bring your vinegar mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes or until reduced by half. The smell is really pungent so it really is wise to open the door or window. Stir once or twice during the proces. When the vinegar is reduced, turn off the heat, let it cool and bottle your glaze. It will keep for a pretty long time in the fridge. I poored the glaze back in the bottle of the vinegar (it was a 250 ml bottle).
