Country Inn Bed and Breakfast Day

Today is Country Inn Bed and Breakfast Day! This day is anually celebrated on the first Sunday of October. It celebrates the uniqueness, charm, romance and warm hospitality that staying at a B&B offers. I have thus selected a few amazing Bed and Breakfasts around the world. If you want a fun or special place to stay (no matter where you want to go), use this site:

I have selected a few cool B&Bs around the world:

1. Motif #1, Paju-si, South-Korea (from $130 per night):

That view! Don’t you just love waking up with that view?

2. Airplane Suite, Teuge, the Netherlands (from a whopping €350 per night):

I swear I was unaware of the fact that we had something cool in this country. It’s quite a lot of money (way above my pay grade) but it is also an amazing experience to sleep here, right?

3. Mira Mira Accomodation, Cross Over, Australia (from AUS $390 per night):

How cool is this? It’s like a cave or something. Some people are very, very creative!

4. The Chocolate Boutique Hotel, Bournemouth, United Kingdom (from £95 per night):

This B&B doesn’t need any more words. Who doesn’t like chocolate?

5. Husky Lodge, Muotathal, Switzerland (from CHF 34 per night):

This one must be one of my favourites. I LOVE huskies. One of my dreams is to do a husky safari in Finnish Lapland <3

6.  Featherbed Railroad, Nice, United States of America (from $129 per night):

This is so genius! And look at the inside… How do they do that? I think it’s just amazing.

7. Gårdsjö Moose Park Sweden, Heby, Sweden (from SKr 2500 = about $300):

Who doesn’t love spending the night at a Moose Park?

8. Utter Inn, Västerås, Sweden (from SKr 1100 per night):

Small but very isolated. If I go on a holiday, I never go to places where lots of other Dutch people go to as well. I would like to go as far away from them as possible. This would be ideal, haha.

9. Relais Cattedrale, Asti, Italy (from €100 per night):

Would you just look at how pretty this is? It has like a Japanese-style garden! Just gorgeous!

10. Riserva Privata San SettimioArcevia, Italy (from only €55 per night):

I want to stay here one day. It is just absolutely breathtaking. Have you seen all those books? o_O

At first, I wanted to leave this post at this but I wasn’t quite satisfied (luckily, I typed this two days ahead) so I decided to make a special breakfast:

Breakfast idea for bed & breakfast: Eggs benedict on Eggs Benedict on Homemade English Muffin with Prosciutto and Hollandaise

Eggs Benedict on Homemade English Muffin with Smoked Salmon and Hollandaise

English muffins with Eggs Benedict (all made from scratch, of course). I made one with smoked salmon and one with Prosciutto because my friend doesn’t like fish. I got the most complements on my English muffins. I will upload the recipe for these delicious muffins asap (I’m going to call them “Genji’s English Muffins” because my husband’s alias is Genji and I made them for him).

What are you going to do for this day? Care to share in a comment down below?

Don’t forget: tomorrow is ‘National Noodle Day’ so be sure to check back tomorrow to see what I’ve made for this special day.
