Gyoza, cheesecake, quail or a nice soup. Dishes that tickle your senses; a true fest for your taste buds.
Hello and welcome to my home. Even though my home is sometimes messy and not quiet at all, I would like to give you a little look around. It is true that the kitchen is the heart of my home. However, you cannot always find me there. Sometimes I’m up in the attic where I have a tiny room to sew, knit, crochet or do all kinds of other DIY stuff. It’s my sanctuary where I can just shut out the busy world for a while.
I have created this website to share my passion for and interest in food, DIY, beauty, etc. Most of the posts will probably be about food and cooking/baking because that is what I do most. I spend quite a lot of time in the kitchen because I like making things from scratch. This is my way of teaching myself to cook and to bake. I would love to go to ‘Le Cordon Bleu‘ to obtain ‘Le Grand Diplôme’ but, unfortunately, I cannot afford it. Maybe I should set aside some money every month. By the time I’m 80, I will probably have enough. Won’t it be cool to see a granny going to a cooking school 😉 Anyway, as an alternative, I am trying to cook most of the recipes from my cookbooks. Even though I eat pretty much anything, I am open to every kitchen and ‘diet’. For example, I also cook vegan or vegetarian sometimes and I like trying to make a vegan recipe from a recipe I like.
Besides cooking, I also love to make my own things (anything from jewellery to face masks), read and to knit/crochet and sew. I’m still just a novice but my mommy is kind enough to teach me everything she knows. Eventually, I would like to be able to draw a pattern from a picture I see and be able to make it as well (that’s what my mom does… I’m so jealous!).
Already curious? Have a look around and see what you think.
Please note that I am in no way a professional in anything I publish here. I’m just a clumsy young woman (like Bridget Jones) who loves to do things and likes to share it with the world =) I also hope to inspire other people to do more things by themselves because it gives such a good feeling.
